King Street Marketing Group together with
WCSC Live 5 News will host two special luncheons at
Halls Chophouse Thursday Oct. 10th and Friday Oct. 11th to benefit
Debi’s Kids. Thursday’s speaker is
Live 5 News Anchor Debi Chard and
Chief Meteorologist Bill Walsh will speak Friday.
Debi is celebrating the 20th anniversary of Debi’s Kids, WCSC’s community outreach project to provide holiday gifts for children at Christmas. Last year Debi’s Kids helped provide Christmas gifts for over 5,000 children in the Tri-County. This year, Debi’s Kids is focusing on active toys, gifts, and sporting goods to keep lowcountry children physically fit.
Each luncheon will feature a silent and live auction of autographed wine bottles from the Robert Maguire autograph collection of legendary celebrities in music, sports, entertainment, business and politics. Proceeds from the autograph auction will benefit Debi's Kids. There are autographs from Jack Nicklaus, Charlton Heston, Sonny Bono, Etta James, Bill Gates, Robin Williams, Jeff Gordon, Johnny Bench, Bill Cosby and Warren Buffet, to name a few. Many of the autographs include a signed photo designated by an asterisk. (See below to view the entire list.)
Thursday Oct. 10
Live 5 News Anchor Debi Chard will share stories from her career covering news
in the lowcountry and around the nation over the last three decades. Earlier this year, Debi was one of a half-dozen local TV anchors invited to the White House to interview President Obama on the country’s aging infrastructure, specifically the Crosstown Expressway drainage project.
Debi’s extensive reporting background includes medical breakthroughs and advances from Charleston’s vast healthcare community and Boeing’s operations in both North Charleston and Puget Sound. (Click Here to Buy Tickets for Debi's Luncheon.)
