Forgotten Tales Of South Carolina is a book about tales of strange and unusual happenings in South Carolina. It covers ghosts, haunted houses, haunted bridges, UFO's, strange weather, monsters, etc. Many of these stories have been handed down for hundreds of years.
The 144-page book contains 91 stories from across the state, including many from Georgetown and Horry counties and many others.
With illustrations by Kyle McQueen, the book features such stories as the origins of the swamp monster that slinks along the bottom of Lake Murray, as well as the moonshine bootleggers buried inside the Stumphouse Tunnel between Charleston and the Blue Ridge Mountains.
