Charleston International Film Festival Selling Screening Tix at 50% Off

The 2013 festival will be held April 24th to April 28th at the Sottile Theatre and Physician’s Theatre presenting the most striking new cinematic visions of amateur, emerging and veteran filmmakers.The Charleston International Film Festival will be at 2nd Sunday on King Street and selling Festival Screening Tickets for 50% Off the regular price.

The 2013 festival will be held April 24th to April 28th at the Sottile Theatre and Physician’s Theatre presenting the most striking new cinematic visions of amateur, emerging and veteran filmmakers. The films they are showcasing are broad in subject matter, and hail from right here in Charleston, the U.S. and countries around the world including Argentina, Greece, Italy and more.

FilmmakingFestival highlights include Awarding Cinematographer Bill Butler with a Lifetime Achievement Award (he is known for such films as Jaws, Rocky, Stripes, Grease, and others), screening of the film Catch Me If You Can with a Q&A following the movie with Frank Abagnale of whom the movie was written, special studio Q&A with Chris Brigham, Executive Producer of such films as Shutter Island, Inceptions and others.

Spoleto Locals Weekend Featured at 2nd Sunday on King Street

Spoleto Festival USA will extend their Locals Weekend to 2nd Sunday with a tent in front of the Sotille Marquee and a box office for ticket purchases at special rates. Dee Norton Lowcountry Children's Center will be Painting Faces and Applying Temporary Tats

DNLCC serves child abuse victims and their families primarily from Charleston and Berkeley counties.
Come support The Dee Norton Lowcountry Children's Center (DNLCC) on 2nd Sunday, April 14th in downtown Charleston! DNLCC is the designated non-profit and will have a tent that will be fun for children of all ages with face painting, temporary tattoos and hair tinsel! Bring your children by for some fun from 1:00 to 5:00 PM. Everyone is welcome.

DNLCC is raising awareness about the issue of child abuse through its "I believe...Child Abuse Is A Grown-Up Problem" campaign. Held throughout April, National Child Abuse Prevention month, DNLCC's campaign focuses on the belief that child abuse is a grown-up problem and as adults, we are the key element to successful prevention and treatment.

Theatre Productions "Spring Awakening" and "The Liar" during April's 2nd Sunday
