King of Pops is on a mission to share frozen happiness with every man, woman and child in the low country. The first pop was frozen to a stick in Atlanta last spring and has been destined to reach the coast ever since. What better place to start than the Holy City, which already has a knack for culinary excellence. Charleston has been Andy McCarthy's second home for a number of years now and he is happy to finally be able to give a bit back to the community. He's always trying different flavors and working with new local farmers — come by to find out what the newest pop might be!
Try cool and creative flavors like Arnold Palmer, Banana Puddin', Chocolate Sea Salt, Coconut Lemongrass, Grapefruit Mint, Mexican Chocolate, Raspberry Lime, Strawberry Lemonade. Or, look for special concoctions like blood orange pineapple, cucumber lime and grapefruit blackberry and dozens more, every day. These are not sugary blobs of colors not found in nature; they're pop-visits-cuisine fantastic.
On an average day, you'll find the King at The Bicycle Shoppe, 288 Meeting or at 110 East Ashley at Folly Beach. 2nd Sunday he's all ours. Lower King Street.
Having a party or catered event? King of Pops caters. He also sells wholesale. Look for pops at Robot Candy Co., 322 King Street.
