Holly Herrick is an awarded cookbook author and food writer who draws inspiration from the beauty; seasonal, local produce; and delicious food and restaurants of her home town, Charleston, SC. Holly is the author of five cookbooks, including Southern Farmers Market, and The Charleston Chef’s Table Cookbook – Extraordinary Recipes from the Heart of The Old South.
In 2011, Holly released two new books, Tart Love – Sassy, Savory, and Sweet, and Food Lovers’ Charleston & Savannah – A guide to the Best Restaurants, Markets and Local Culinary Offerings. Holly’s latest book, The French Cook: Sauces in March, 2013, and the rest of her titles are currently available online at amazon.com and at bookstores near you. As a decade-long restaurant critic in the area, Holly’s something of a specialist on the subject of dining in Charleston and is embarking on a study of Savannah’s food scene for her next two book projects. Holly embraces opportunities to develop recipes for food brand producers and write features and food articles/original recipes for newspapers, magazines and web sites.
