2nd Sunday on King Street will celebrate Mother's Day with shopping, music, dining and strolling on Charleston's "Main Street." Special guest Spoleto Festival USA will create a Sotille Box Office and Spoleto Tent at George and King during the event, offering fee-free tickets and 2nd Sunday specials.
The 2nd Sunday Information Tent at Wentworth and King will have a free drawing to give away tickets to six different Spoleto Festival USA events. Parking Vouchers for 2 Hours Free Parking in any City of Charleston Parking Garage will also be available at the 2nd Sunday Information Tent.
2nd Sunday Musicians will include Rustic Remedy, Shrimp City Slim, Austin Fitzhenry, The Honeybees, Michael Lindsey with Caroline Nelson, Oliver Penegar and Carlo Garcia from the Charleston School of the Arts, and others.
Adam Fetch, maker of popular made-in-Charleston Rewined Candles will appear at the Information Tent to talk about his products. Author Ken Burger will be on hand to sign Baptized in Sweet Tea and his previously released novels.
Don't forget Upper King Street! Halls Chophouse, Closed for Business, The Macintosh, Barsa Tapas + Lounge + Bar and The Swamp Fox are open for your Mother's Day morning Eggs Benedict. Upper King will be the site for special dinner offerings from all the above plus Juanita Greenberg's, Monza, O-Ku and Taco Boy. Park at the Visitor's Center Garage, Hutson Street or the Francis Marion parking decks, and walk to 2nd Sunday.
2nd Sunday on King Street is a pedestrian-only event when King Street is closed to all vehicular traffic from Queen Street North to Calhoun on the second Sunday of each month.
