The OOPS! Co. was founded in 1982 in Charleston, SC. Originally, OOPS!
carried over-runs and irregular clothing made for mail order catalogs. The name OOPS! originated from mistakes made by manufacturers (e.g.
pants that were LL Bean pattern made with Lands End fabric or the wrong
dye lot). 95% of the products sold were domestically made. When we began, there were no TJ Maxx stores, Marshall’s, etc… Very few,
if any, catalogs had outlet (discounted) stores.
Over the last two decades, competition has grown and domestically made
goods are practically extinct. Today, the large majority of our
merchandise is first quality, not irregulars. The irregulars that we
do carry are “clean” irregulars meaning they have no rips, holes,
tears, stains, or repairs. We do not carry customer returns. We
secure our goods from a number of sources and often are able to buy
goods that are:
- Cancelled by catalogs because the goods could not be delivered by a specific date
- Over production on products.
- Order cancellations
- Changes in garment specifications
- Occasionally we purchase merchandise from a previous season.
We also have some items manufactured for us that we cannot otherwise acquire. These items include South Carolina logo merchandise, flip flops, some of our shirts and neckties.
The OOPS! Co. primarily sells clothing made for mail order catalogs at a discounted price. We try to provide the best product at the best price possible selling traditional and updated classics for men, women and children.
Our stores are located in Charleston, Mt. Pleasant, Columbia, Greenville and Spartanburg, SC.
