Small Business Lunch at Halls is pleased to present our July 12th distinguished speaker, the Mayor of Mt. Pleasant, Billy Swails.
Connected to Charleston by the Ravenel Bridge, Mt. Pleasant, a 2010 All America City, is the fourth most populated municipality in South Carolina with 70,000 residents that have some of highest per capita incomes and education levels found anywhere in the U.S. The town has two new hospitals and three lanes coming to Rt. 17. But where in MTP will the residents allow a Big Box Store? Mayor Swails has that answer and more.
A dedicated family man, businessman and public servant, Mayor Swails was elected to his current post in 2009 and still oversees his State Farm Insurance agency he has managed successfully for more than 30 years.
