Two of Charleston's more talented artists, Rick Reinert and Kevin LePrince, are now at Reinert LePrince Fine Art, 179 King Street in the Lower King Street Antique District.
Reinert was appointed Artist in Residence at the Five-Star Woodlands Inn in Summerville. He now focuses more on expressing light and shadow in natural surroundings.
Recently Rick's painting, "Ships of the Heartland," was chosen as a top 100 winner in the Paint America competition. Among several other accolades, Rick has been a featured artist in the Southeast Wildlife Exposition in Charleston and in the Gadsden Museum of Art Southeastern Plein Air Festival in Gadsden, AL.
After 12 years in the financial industry and a Vice President with Wachovia Securities, Kevin LePrince decided to devote himself to painting full-time and thus began his journey as an artist.
"Often playful but sometimes serious" is LePrince’s description of his work and subject matter. His paintings are recognized for their broken brush strokes, limited palette and playful use of light.
