Jack Hurley's self-described hot dog joint, Jack's Cosmic Dogs, had film crews from the Food Network taping and recording video footage which will be used when the program on Jack's Cosmic Dogs appears on Alton Brown's segment "Good Eats" sometime in the future.
Two local Charleston diners were good sports about having their Cosmic experience taped for posterity. Courtney Pierce and Christopher Berens were served lunch by Jack Hurley himself as Piers Bath filmed their dining experience.
Outside the building, located on Rt. 17 in Mt. Pleasant, Los Angeles resident Dave Cain filmed some supporting visuals for the broadcast. There is no set date for when the segment on Jack's Cosmic Dogs will be broadcast. Hurley thinks it is some time in February or March of 2010.
If you’d like to taste the "Best Dog in Charleston", head to Jack’s Cosmic Dogs, (Jack Hurley, proprietor) located three miles north of the Isle of Palms connector on Highway 17 North, just before the intersection of Rt. 41 in Mt. Pleasant, SC.
