Welcome to Dunleavy's Pub

We are a neighborhood Irish Pub in the heart of historic Sullivans Island; a place where locals and visitors meet to enjoy the company of friends, some good food, drinks and maybe a Red Sox game.

Dunleavy's Pub is located at Station 22 and Middle Street on Sullivans Island and has been serving lunch, dinner, cool pints of Guinness, bottled or draft beers and all adult beverages for over 17 years. There’s a no credit card policy, so bring cash, but the popcorn and conversation are free.

Tuesday and Sunday evenings there's live entertainment featuring some of the best talent in the lowcountry. Carroll Brown, Roger Bellow, Bob Sachs, Gary Hewitt and special local guests perform  lively sets of folk, country and acoustic tunes around 7 p.m.

Freezin' for a Reason

For 15 years it has been a New Year’s Day tradition to put on a crazy outfit, have a few beers at Dunleavy’s Pub on Sullivan’s Island and head for the Atlantic Ocean for a quick dip or the Polar Plunge.  This year more than 4,000 people crowded the streets and Dunleavy’s Pub, including Jack Hurley pictured at the right, posing in his $3 European tailored suit with his cronies from the Pub.

The New Year’s Day dip, tagged “Freezin’ for a Reason,” isn’t just about being silly but being serious as the event raises some serious money for the South Carolina Special Olympics. According to Jamie Maher, a major partner in Dunleavy’s, this year’s Plunge will raise more than $20,000 for Special Olympics. A great start to the New Year.
