Travel+Leisure Names O-Ku a Top Sushi Restaurant in the U.S.

 O-Ku was named a Top Sushi Restaurant in America on TravelandLeisure.com! O-Ku’s menu is highlighted for offering dishes that incorporate native Lowcountry elements with the finest products sourced internationally.

Charleston, SC Named Top City in World By Condé Nast Traveler 2012 Reader's Choice Awards

Known for rich history, well-preserved architecture, a celebrated restaurant community and mannerly people, the Charleston area has been named both Top U.S. City and Top Destination in the World by Condé Nast Traveler 2012 Readers’ Choice Awards. A record number of readers participated in the 2012 survey- 47,000, a considerable increase over the 27,000 participants in 2011.

This is the second consecutive year the historic coastal destination has received the No. 1 U.S. City ranking. To receive the Readers’ Choice Top City Award, a destination must receive high marks on six criteria: Atmosphere/Ambience, Culture/Sites, Friendliness, Lodging, Restaurants and Shopping.
