Charleston Chef Showdown: North Vs. South, May 9th

Charleston Culinary Tours’ Charleston Chefs Showdown will take place on Thursday, May 9th from 6:30-9:30pm at the Maritime Center. South of Calhoun Chefs Ross Webb of Leaf Cafe and Steven Ollard of Amen Street are pitted against North of Calhoun Chefs Trey Stabler of Five Loaves Cafe and Shay MacDonald of HoM.

As these competitors go head to head in a series of cook offs to determine who will be named champion, guests will be able to watch the exhilarating live competition and view the judging panel in action. Judges include Stephanie Barna of Charleston City Paper, Josh Keeler of Two Boroughs Larder and Ken Emery of Burwells.

Spectators can enjoy a variety of delicious Charleston delicacies offered by sponsoring restaurants that include Southend Brewery and Smokehouse, Leaf, Amen Street, Sweet CeCe’s, Kaminsky’s, Stars, HoM, Sugar Bakeshop, Lowcountry Bistro, Five Loaves Café, The Macintosh, all while enjoying live music performed by The Bushels.

Charleston Farmers Market 2013 Season Opens Saturday

This Saturday, April 13th kicks off the 2013 Season for the Charleston Farmers Market! Since 1989, the Charleston Farmers Market has supported and featured Lowcountry farmers and growers, artisans, food  vendors, live music, and more! 

Stop by Marion Square at the corner of King & Calhoun Streets and load up on Lowcountry seasonal produce & more. Admission is free. The Farmer's Market is open Saturdays from 8:00am - 2:00pm and runs April 13-December 21, 2013.

*Open on select Sundays from 9:00am - 3:00pm during Piccolo Spoleto Festival (May 26, June 2 & 9) and Holiday Magic (December 1, 8 & 15).

Pink Your Drink Happy Hour Event at Fish This Thursday

Izakaya Hiro Now Open on King Street

 Izakaya Hiro, located at 298 King Street, is now open from 5pm-11pm 7 days a week. Revolutionary Eating Ventures partnered with Sushi Hiro to lauch this reinvented Japanese restaurant. The menu is expanding daily and will be available in it's entirety by next Friday, July, 13th.

Hideya Ishibashi will continue to serve as the head Sushi Chef and continue to provide guests with unparalleled quality and authenticity. The many menu additions include Ramen dishes and Yakitori options as well as more local fish.

REV Foods Neighbor to Neighbor Campaign to Benefit Darkness to Light June 13-20
