Profile: Jennifer Parezo at Twenty Six Divine

Jennifer Parezo is the innovative Pastry Chef and Owner of Twenty Six Divine at 682 King Street, just north of the Crosstown. She is a 2002 graduate of The Scottsdale Culinary Institute, Le Cordon Bleu. Jennifer began her career as Assistant Pastry Chef at Charleston Place and then at the  elegant Sanctuary at Kiawah. While honing distinctively creative skills at those iconic spots, Jennifer also helped husband Chef Enan Parezo begin a personal chef business here in Charleston, www.chefenan.com.

Since opening Twenty Six Divine in April 2010, she and husband Chef Enan Parezo, have expanded both their client base and their flavorful style of cuisine. Delicious homemade, healthy meals with more than a light touch of gourmet can be picked up at Twenty Six Diving for heating at home. Different every day, the selections include entrees and sides, desserts, house infused olive oils, breads and petit fours, all guaranteed delicious!

Dish: Divine Chicken Pot Pie at Twenty Six Divine

This tasty little self-contained pie is a flaky, savory and delicious dinner treat! Take it home and heat it up, it's full of tender chicken and fresh herbs. No foil tin, mushy vegetables or lumpy gravy here. I seriously loved this little pie with big flavor. Twenty Six Divine just opened at 682 King Street, just north of the Crosstown. Pastries, take-home entrees, sweets of all description, house-infused olive oils, biscotti, much more. It's a storefront location and kitchen for Chef Enan Parezo, formerly Chef de Cuisine at the Charleston Place and owner of chefenan.com, and his wife, Pastry Chef Jennifer Meintel Parezo. A truly welcome addition to the area, on the way home from just about anywhere. You will not leave empty handed. Or unhappy.

Dish: Seared Tenderloin of Beef with Vidalia Chow Chow on Blue Cheese Flatbread by Carolina Catering

Lucky me. It was a catered affair and all I could do was stand beside the table where this delectable beef masterpiece sat, and hope no one noticed I was responsible for the disappearance of a whole tray. Rich juicy slices of tenderloin, the tart saltiness of blue cheese flatbread, tangy vidalia chow chow–wow. It's always good news when Carolina Catering is doing the event. A recent reception at the Smith Killian Gallery provided the same experience, but there it was tuna tartare with ponzu sauce, as beautifully plated as it was delicious. What an impresssion!
