"I know Halls is considered one of the "nicest (expensive)" restaurants in town, however their brunch is amazingly reasonable. I got the Steak and Eggs $22. My wife got the French Toast $12. However, the steak was completely different from any steak I have ever tasted. It wasn't just "really good", it was a new taste, a much better taste. I see why they sell them for 60 bucks at dinner, they are amazing. The french toast as well was divine. However, what made this place so wonderful was the service. The wait staff was very friendly and very professional. They treated everyone as though they were VIPs. No judgment for being young or old, causal or well dressed, we have experienced this with other restaurants. Just genuinely friendly. It is expensive, but it is worth it. A great experience and you don't feel rushed. Oh, and the gospel music adds to the great atmosphere."

Swamp Fox Fresh Farmers Market November Edition

Throughout the month of November, the Francis Marion Hotel's Swamp Fox Restaurant will be offering a special Farmers Market Menu. Chef Steve Klatt’s Farmers Market Menu is designed to utilize much of the fresh seasonal products available locally and showcased in the Marion Square Farmers Market.  Chef’s goal is to create a guest experience celebrating the bounties of the Lowcountry with dishes prepared with respect to the traditional ways of the South.

The menu is as follows:

1st Course: Roasted Pumpkin Soup-  Rich and Creamy Soup with Fall Spices and Herbs, Garnished with a Cranberry Relish

2nd Course: Crispy Pork Belly and Pan Seared Sea Scallops with Roasted Butternut Squash Puree, Topped with a Tomato Corn Salad and Sweet-Sour Apples

Dessert: Cinnamon and Maple Cake Roll- Cinnamon Cake with a Maple Cream Cheese Filling, Crusted in Candied Pecans
