It was a lovely surprise when
Blind Tiger Pub Chef
Atom Miller sent out this amazing--not amusing--amuse bouche. Fresh red onions and cucumber, lightly breaded catfish served on a crisp wonton skin with a delightful green pepper rémoulade and lemon vinaigrette. According to The City Paper's Alison Sher, "The food is rich, casual with a touch of class, and made to order with
pride...it is the
perfect place to go for an informal business lunch or a nice cold one
after work." Definitely not 'bar food", and the big group of attorneys on the patio seemed to be enjoying it too. The Blind Tiger is at 38 Broad Street, in Charleston's
Gallery Row.
